Blecua is very well situated: far enough from busy roads, but near enough a main road. Therefore, it is an ideal place for a holiday. You will enjoy peace and tranquility here. On the other hand, as the village is easily accesible by road, it is a starting point to visit the beauties in the region.



It's few kilometres away from the Sierra de Guara Mountain Range, whose impressive relief stands out in the horizon. There are some marvellous places in the area that deserve a visit: The Mascún gorgle, Vadiello and the ravines of the river Vero. It's a short car journey. However, if you prefer taking exercise, you can cycle to these places. The ride through quiet tracks and narrow roads is a fantastic experience.



The most enjoyable way to see the surroundings of the village is on foot. Yoy will have a good time walking along attractive paths that lead to sceneries of outstanding beauty.

This region offers sport lovers a lot of possibilies: trekking, mountain biking, climbing, ravine descending. The ones who want to feel the excitement can do parachuting and gliding in an aerodrome near the village.



The visitors who like seeing art and monuments will get a lot of pleasure here. You must visit the monastery of el Pueyo in Barbastro, as well as the cistercian monatery of Nuestra Señora de la Gloria in Casbas. Both of them have got important architectonical and cultural values. It's also worth visiting San Miguel de Foces in Ibieca, built in the transitional period betwenn Romanesque and Gothic styles and a masterpiece of the religious architecture.


Finally, if you are interesed Prehistoric cave paintings, don't forget to visit some isolated places in the Sierra de Guara Mountain Range.



You can't leave Blecua without visiting Alquézar, which is only thirty minutes drive. It's a beautiful small town that reminds us of the medieval times. The old Castle, the Collegiate Church, its narrow streets and splendid houses are resommended. Moreover, Alquezar offers you a wide range of gastronomy accompanied by the well-Known Somontano wines.



The most impressive and spectacular places in the province of Huesca aren't very far from Blecua: Loarre Castle, Los Mallos de Riglos, San Juan de la Peña, Ordesa National Park, the artistic route in the Serrablo area; Torreciudad, celebrated monastery didicated to the virgin of the same name, on the rock that surrounds the marsh of Grado, made and center of peregrination of the Opus Dei... They are all some examples of an unforgettable trip.
